In most cases the commission to the Buyer's Agent is paid from the commission paid to the Seller's Agent by the Seller. So, the Buyer doesn't have to pay any commission.
The standard commission charged is 5% + HST in most of the locations in the Greater Toronto Area. Half of this commission goes to the Buyer's agent.
